Cardiac Surgery

The Cardiac Surgery Unit consists of 2 state-of-the-art Cardiac Operation Theatres with an adjoining cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit (Recovery Room) with a capacity of 6 beds. Our Centre is also fully equipped to cater to cardiac emergencies.

The first Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) Surgery at KEM Hospital was performed on August 30th, 2005. We continue to successfully perform open heart and closed cardiac/vascular procedures at our centre, with CABG and Valve Replacement and Repairs comprising of majority of the cases.

The Cardiac Surgical Department provides affordable cardiac surgical services without compromising safety and care to the population of Maharashtra and India.
