What is Palliative Care?
We believe that palliative care is ‘Responsive Care’. It is care that is responsive to the needs of patients and their families.
Palliative care recognizes that the problems faced by a person with a serious illness are not just confined to the disease. It acknowledges that there may be pain and other symptoms related to the psychological, social and spiritual concerns of patients and their families.

When should Palliative Care start?
Palliative Care should begin early in the course of illness, in conjunction with other therapies that are intended to prolong life, such as chemotherapy or radiation therapy, and includes those investigations needed to better understand and manage distressing clinical complications.
