Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
The PICU was established in 2000, as a part of the Department of Paediatrics with state-of-the-art technical facilities such as piped oxygen, ventilation, monitoring and parenteral nutrition. Upgraded facilities such as multi para monitors, invasive monitoring, bedside point of care ultrasound, bedside continuous EEG, basic and advanced CRRT haemodialysis are available at the centre.
Our 10 bedded PICU is a tertiary care centre that receives referrals for a variety of complex cases. Having the presence of many strong super specialities, such as, gastroenterology, rheumatology, nephrology, endocrinology, cardiology, pulmonology, paediatric and neurosurgery, neurology, and infectious disease, provides us the support and ability to deal with a wide spectrum of cases.
